You will have your own social worker. They are there to listen to you, support you and make sure you are doing okay.

Your social worker will visit you regularly at your foster home. Sometimes, they may also visit you at school.

If you would rather meet your social worker somewhere else, you can ask them to meet you somewhere you feel comfortable.

You can ask to speak to your social worker at any time if you have a question, something is worrying you, or you just want to talk.

Your social worker may also be called your one-to-one worker. They will get to know you, understand your background and learn about what you have been through. They will check in with you and make sure you are getting the help and support you need.

Your foster carer will also have their own social worker. This person is called a supervising social worker.

Their job is to support your foster carer and make sure they are looking after you properly.

You can also talk to them, ask questions or tell them if something is worrying you. They are there to listen and help.
