Quality Assurance

We are a learning and listening organisation and aim to continuously improve our service. We do this in a number of different ways:

• To make sure that we focus our efforts in the right areas, we have a robust Quality Assurance Framework reflective of best practice and in line with Fostering Regulations (2011). Regular audits are undertaken across all our activities and feedback is always shared across the organisation. Our Responsible Individual, Registered Manager and staff team all work together to implement any changes that are needed and to ensure that where practice is good we celebrate this. 

• We regularly seek the views and ideas of our fostering families. We do this formally and informally. Fostering families may be asked to complete a survey of their views, or attend a group to talk through different proposals. We meet regularly in informal ways with our foster carers, at celebration events and support groups, we are always happy to receive feedback and discuss new ideas. Our Sons and Daughters Group, for the children of foster carers, is also a great space to listen to new ideas and suggestions. 

• We think it is vital that we listen to the young people we care for and we are always open to hearing the views and opinions of our children and young people. Young people have a number of ways to get in touch with us, we have a website portal specifically designed for them, with the aim of encouraging their views and participation.

• Feedback is requested from; our foster carers, children/ young people placed with our foster carers, Local Authority Social Workers and Commissioners, Independant Reviewing Officers, Panel Members and external training providers to ensure that we continue to improve on quality.
